Back In Action

It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy with life. I am hoping to get back into everything real soon. It’s crazy to think my last post was of Diesel the Puppy. Now look at him:

So, I am in the process of moving right now. A lot of my equipment has been packed away. That’s why it’s been a while since I’ve posted a new video on my channel. But check out my channel every so often for updates. It’s http://www.youtube.com/detroitgamer. I am hoping to be settled into my new home in the next few months. Other than that, not a whole lot has been going on. I’ve gotten a lot more guns in the past year, so I am hopefully going to be able to get some reviews on my channel. I’ve also been playing FFXIV a lot since Stormblood was released. If you’d like to play drop me a message. I’ll also hopefully be updating this blog more often. I hope everyone is having a great summer. I’ll speak to you all soon.

Meet Diesel the Puppy.

Diesel Puppy 1Diesel Sleeping Cute puppy Diesel & Minnie Diesel on the way home.

I just want everyone to meet my puppy Diesel. This post is a little overdue, but here it is. Diesel was born December 5th, 2014. We drive 10 hours to get this little guy. He is a Czech bloodline German Shepherd Dog. I plan on raising him to be a personal protection dog. He is a great dog and it’s been really easy to train him. If you want to see more of Diesel, check out my Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/detroitgamer.

Destiny Review

IMG_0020-0.JPG
If you haven’t picked up a copy of Destiny yet, now is the time! Game content is a big deal to me and Destiny has some top quality content. I have not played too many console- based, open world games, but Destiny takes the cake. I started out by playing on the PS3 version, but I took advantage of the free copy of the next-gen version and I have to say, WOW! The graphics on the next gen version are beautiful. I see why people are spending hours of their life playing this awesome game.

As a life-long Halo fan, this game is like Halo 5 to me. You can tell it was created by the same people that brought us Halo. I also love the multiplayer aspect of this game. There is never a time I feel lonely in Destiny. My PSN tag is DetroitGame, so feel free to add me if you ever want to play. I will be spending my time between Destiny and Final Fantasy XIV.

ShutoCon 2014

Image

Well, ShutoCon was my second anime convention and I have to say, I LOVED IT. This was my first year at ShutoCon(and won’t be my last). The venue was a perfect size, the people were great, the gameroom was adequate, the dealer room was nice, and lines were not bad at all. The guests were friendly and were willing to take pictures(except for Jamie Marchi, who had to leave for a panel before I could get a picture). The rave, as always was the highlight of the convention. The DJs did an awesome job and it was a blast. I will share some photos below of my adventures and I will see you all at Midwest Media Expo.

Loot Crate, March 2014.

Happy April everyone! Check out my unboxing of my first Loot Crate. They had some pretty cool Attack on Titan stuff in the box. If you have not watched the Attack on Titan anime, it’s a must! As long as Loot Crate keeps coming out with cool stuff, I will continue my subscription and continue to post monthly videos.

RIP Snuggy

Image

This week I have had to deal with one of most difficult things that I have had to deal with in my adult life, the death of my first dog Snuggy. Growing up my parents were both career people that had very little time or desire for pets. I used to spend a lot of time with my sister’s animals growing up so I always had a great love for animals because of this. As soon as I got my own house the first thing I did was adopt a cat from the Humane Society. Then one day out of the blue, my mom called me and said she wanted us to go with her and pick up her new dog Lacey from the breeders. When we went to pick up Lacey, they also had her twin brother, a male. Once we saw him I knew that was going to be our dog. So Snuggy came home with us and was our loyal dog for the past 7 years. I used to always see people’s posts of Facebook or Twitter where they lost a pet. I never understood this pain until my dog was attacked by an unknown animal in my backyard. We found him about 10 minutes after it happened when we realized that only one of our dogs came in the house. I rushed my badly bitten dog to the 24 hour animal hospital, where he was given the best chance he could have possibly been given to survive the attack. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough and Snuggy died the next day, March 24th 2014, from breathing complications before we were able to get the surgery that could have saved his life. I have never taken anything so hard in my entire life. I could not eat, I could not sleep, and I could barely function at work. But I did learn one thing about this experience, never take anything or anyone in your life for granted, because one day it could be gone in a flash.

I know this is not the normal type of article that I write on this blog, so I appreciate everyone for reading and allowing me to share this painful event with you all.
